Matt Rader
President
Matt Rader leads the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society into an exciting future as its 37th president. Matt grew up in Mercersburg, a small town in south central Pennsylvania, where he attended Mercersburg Academy, and was a frequent visitor to the Philadelphia Flower Show. He earned his BA in architectural history, which remains a personal passion, from the University of Virginia in 2001, and completed his MBA at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with honors in 2011. Rader adopted Philadelphia as his home soon after college.

Vice President, Chief of Shows & Events
Sam directs the planning and creation of the major events produced by PHS including the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, the largest flower show in the U.S. Sam is a judge for flower shows in Singapore, Japan and South Korea, and has judged the floats at the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.

As Vice President, Business Development, Jimmy is responsible for the team tasked with raising millions of dollars in corporate support for the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show and PHS programs such as Plant One Million, City Harvest, Pop Up Gardens, Tree Tenders, and the Neighborhood Gardens Trust, among others.

Julianne is PHS Chief of Programs, where she advances the organization’s key initiatives with a focus on successful implementation, collaboration within the organization, and management of partnerships vital to PHS. Julianne joined PHS in 2014 as Director of Gardening Programs.

Tamela brings rich experience in strategic financial management, including more than ten years in various leadership positions at Wharton Executive Education and prior experience at Bridgemark Consulting, Credit Suisee, PriceWaterHouseCoopers, Kaplan Education Centers, and Coopers & Lybrand. Tamela has a Master of Science in Accounting and an MBA from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University.
